How to Clean the Impurities in the Excavator Hydraulic System?

Cleaning the hydraulic system of an excavator is essential to maintain its performance and prevent damage. Here are some steps you can follow to clean the impurities in an excavator's hydraulic system:

First of all, remove the bucket when the excavator is still conditioned to move, find a good site, make a parking posture, and lie on a flat ground. After putting it in place, don’t rush to release the hydraulic oil. First, remove the shaft of the piston head of the oil cylinder while moving the middle arm and the lower arm, then put all the oil cylinders back to the bottom, let the hydraulic oil return to the oil tank as much as possible, and then drain the hydraulic oil.

The oil drain screw hole for hydraulic oil is at the bottom of the oil tank. After draining the oil, it can be disassembled. The main pump, distributor, hydraulic oil tank, radiator, four oil cylinders, swing motor, travel motor, center adapter, solenoid valve group, all are removed from the car, and the exterior is cleaned.

Then disassemble the main pump and inspect, after check it is in good condition, clean and assemble the main pump.

Disassemble the distributor for inspection and cleaning. The operator focuses on checking the carbon ring oil seal of the pressure compensation valve. It is often encountered that some oil seals are completely gone, only the oil seal groove, and the oil seal has gone into the hydraulic system. After checking that there is no problem, clean and replace the seal assembly.

We first heat and clean the hydraulic oil tank with a high-pressure water gun. Some of them have copper foam and iron foam inside, and then dry with compressed air. After sticking them out with dough, then clean them with compressed air and diesel oil, and finally dry them to prevent from rusting. .

Pour 5-8 liters of diesel oil into the radiator, plug both sides, shake it up and down for a while, then pour it out, repeat three or four times and then blow it with compressed air. If there are many dirty things in the hydraulic oil tank, the radiator must needs to be cleaned well or replaced. Some radiators have to be cleaned more than ten times before there is no iron slag when poured out. This blocks the big iron pieces that go in like a filter screen in the radiator.

Disassemble and inspect the rotary motor, and if there is no problem, it should be cleaned and replaced with a seal assembly.

Also check the condition of central swivel joint, and then assemble it. After assembly, all oil ports should be blocked to prevent dirt from entering.

Disassemble and check the solenoid valve group. Dirty hydraulic oil is easy to get stuck in the solenoid valve, so special attention should be paid when cleaning.

The travel motor should also be disassembled for cleaning and inspection. There are several valves in the motor cover, which must be opened.

Disassemble and check the oil cylinder, clean and replace the seal after no problem, then assemble it. Clean the hydraulic pipeline, clean it with compressed air.
