(e) Ensure the sealing surface of the filter element contacts the filter element seat's sealing surface. Tighten the filter element 3/4 to 1 turn further.

(f) Open the engine cover and add fresh engine oil through the filler port. Check for any oil leakage from the oil discharge valve. If there is leakage, it must be resolved before continuing. After 15 minutes, check that the oil level is between the maximum and minimum marks.

(g) Install the bottom plate back onto the machine, securing it in place.
