How is the fuel injection pump important to a diesel engine?
As the core component of the combustion system, the fuel injection pump plays an important role in the pressurization and atomization of diesel. There are three main fuel injection pump types: inline fuel injection pumps, distributor fuel injection pumps and continuous fuel injection pumps. During the use of the diesel engine, the fuel injection pump is prone to failure and damage when it works under high temperature and high pressure for a long time. What causes the diesel fuel injection pump damaged?
1. The most common reason is the wear of moving parts. Since the plunger couple in the fuel injection pump works for a long time in a state of precision sealing, it is easy to have wear problems. Dirt and other problems will also cause wear of the plunger coupling, resulting in problems such as insufficient fuel injection pressure and reduced fuel supply, which will affect the quality of fuel injection atomization and the combustion quality of the diesel engine.
2. The cam gear is also prone to severe wear after a long time of operation, resulting in inaccurate oil supply timing.
3. The unreasonable disassembly of the fuel injection pump during its repair or maintenance is one of the reasons for damagingthe fuel injection pump. For example, if the vertical relationship between the plunger sleeve and the pump body is unqualified, it will cause the plunger sleeve to be blocked and damaged during operation; if the governor lever is unreasonably assembled, it will also cause stagnation, which will not only affect the oil volume adjustment arm of the plunger adjustment performance, but also cause damage to the fuel injection pump.
4. The spring part in the fuel injection pump is also one of the vulnerable parts. During the long-term repeated stretching process, the spring elasticity of the oil outlet valve will drop or break, and the plunger spring will break, which will affect the actual working quality of the fuel injection pump.
