The inspection method is to align the convex teeth of the signal rotor with the iron core of the sensor coil, and check the air gap between them with a feeler gauge: generally 0.2-0.4mm, if it is not suitable, adjust it. Some are non-contact, and the air gap of the point distributor is not adjustable, and it can only be replaced when there is a problem.

When the starter does not turn when the starter switch is pressed, turn on the headlights or honk the horn to check whether the circuit is powered. If the headlights are not on and the horn is not sounding, check whether the battery and wires are dead or open. If the headlights are on and the horn sounds, it means that the battery is charged. At this time, you can use a screwdriver to connect the two terminals of the starter switch. If the starter is idling, there is something wrong with the starter switch, then there is a short circuit or a grounding point inside the starter. If there is neither rotation nor spark, there is an open circuit inside the starter.
