Composition of Diesel Engine Internal Combustion Chamber

As a complex machine for energy conversion, a diesel engine consists of various mechanisms and components. For the current wide variety of diesel engines, although their specific structures are not the same, but the structure is similar, mainly composed of the following parts.

 

1.The crank connecting rod mechanism is mainly composed of the body group, the living connecting rod group, the crankshaft flywheel group and so on. Via crank connecting rod, the diesel engine converts the reciprocating linear motion of the piston into the rotary motion of the crankshaft to complete the working cycle of the diesel engine.

 

2.The valve train is mainly composed of the valve group and the valve transmission mechanism.

Its main function is to complete the opening and closing of the intake and exhaust valvesin a certain order to ensure that the diesel engine can inhale fresh air and discharge the exhaust gas after combustion in time.

 

3.Fuel system mainly includes fuel injection pump, fuel transfer pump, governor, fuel injector and fuel filter, etc.

Its function is to spray diesel fuel into the combustion chamber at a fixed time, quantity and constant pressure to ensure timely, rapid and complete combustion of the fuel.

 

4.The lubrication system is mainly composed of oil pan, oil pump, oil filter, lubricating oil pipe and various valve parts.

Its main function is to deliver lubricating oil to each friction surface to reduce the wear of diesel engine parts and reduce the frictional resistance between parts, and also play the role of cooling, cleaning, sealing and rust prevention

 

5.The cooling system is mainly composed of radiator, fan, engine water pump, cooling water jacket in cylinder block and cylinder head, thermostat, etc.

Its function is to transmit the heat absorbed by the parts and export it in time to ensure that the diesel engine works reliably under normal temperature.
