The function of the supply system
The function of the diesel fuel supply system is to complete the storage of fuel. According to the requirements of different working conditions of the diesel engine, it is injected into the combustion chamber at a certain time, quantity, constant pressure and with a certain fuel injection quality, so that it can be quickly and well mixed with the air and burned, and finally the exhaust gas is discharged into the atmosphere.
The composition of the supply system
The diesel engine fuel supply system consists of four parts: a fuel supply device, an air supply device, a mixture forming device and an exhaust gas discharge device.
1) Fuel supply device
The fuel supply device usually consists of fuel injection pump, fuel injector, high-pressure fuel pipe and some auxiliary devices
The fuel supply system can be divided into two oil circuits of low pressure and high pressure. Low pressure refers to the oil pressure in the oil circuit from the fuel tank to the fuel injection pump population, because it is established by the oil transfer pump, and the oil output pressure of the oil transfer pump is generally 0.15~0.3MPa, so this section oil circuit is called the low pressure oil circuit. The high-pressure oil circuit refers to the oil circuit from the fuel injection pump to the fuel injector. The oil pressure in the oil circuit is established by the fuel injection pump, generally above 10MPa.
2) Air supply device
This device consists of air filter, intake pipe, cylinder head and so on. The supercharged diesel engine is also equipped with an intake supercharging device.
3) The device for forming the mixture is composed of a combustion chamber.
4) Exhaust gas discharge device
The device consists of an exhaust port, an exhaust pipe and an exhaust muffler in the cylinder head.
