How to Connect Solenoid Valves to Controller?

In the automation control of construction machinery, the correct connection of solenoid valves and controllers is the key to realizing precise control. Solenoid valve as an important component of fluid control, with the intelligent function of the controller, can realize the precise control of hydraulic and pneumatic system.

Step 1: Preparation

Before starting the connection, make sure you have prepared the following tools and materials:

Solenoid valves: Select the appropriate solenoid valve model according to your project requirements;

Controller: choose a stable and reliable controller that can be compatible with the solenoid valve;

Power cords and plugs: Make sure that the power cord is adapted to the timer and solenoid, otherwise it may have an effect on the proper operation of accessories such as diesel engine spare parts;

Control cords and plugs: choose the appropriate control cords and plugs to connect with the solenoid valve and controller;

Basic tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers and wire strippers.

Step 2: Understand the wiring of the solenoid valve and controller

Before you start connecting, read the manuals for the diesel solenoid valve and controller in detail to understand their wiring methods, voltage ratings and control signal interfaces. Make sure you understand the solenoid valve's coil polarity and operating voltage, as well as the controller's power and output interfaces.

Step 3: Install the solenoid valve

First, make a solenoid valve installation in the proper location and make sure the valve body is securely connected. If there are multiple solenoid valves, arrange them as required and leave enough space for connection.

Step 4: Connecting the Solenoid Valve to the Controller

Disconnect the power supply and make sure all equipment is in a safe condition.

Using wire strippers, strip the insulation from both ends of the solenoid cable to expose the wires.

Depending on the solenoid's coil polarity, connect the two wires to the appropriate output connector on the controller. Typically, the black or marked wire is connected to the negative terminal and the other wire is connected to the positive terminal.

Make sure the connections are secure and wrap the wires with insulating tape or insulating sleeves to prevent short-circuiting or leakage of the wires.

Step 5: Connect the power cord and plug

Plug the power cord of the controller into a power outlet and make sure the plug is securely connected.

Plug the power cord of the solenoid valve into the power outlet of the controller and make sure it is firmly connected.

Step 6: Set the controller

According to your needs, set the parameters of the controller. According to the working characteristics of the solenoid valve, reasonably set the switching time, time delay and other parameters to ensure that the controller works as expected.

Step 7: Test and debugging

After completing the above connections, first make sure that all wiring is correct, then turn on the power for testing to make sure that the starter motor and other components are all working properly. Observe whether the solenoid valve is correctly switched in accordance with the settings of the controller, if there is any abnormality, it should be promptly checked and solve the problem.

In the automation control of construction machinery, learning how to connect the solenoid valve to the controller is a key step in realizing precise control. By correctly connecting solenoid valves and controllers, we have successfully realized intelligent control of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and improved the operation efficiency and safety of construction machinery.

In our daily work, we have to choose the appropriate solenoid valves and controllers according to the actual project requirements and make sure to connect them accurately. Only through continuous practice and exploration can we become more skillful in using this skill and apply automation control technology to more construction machinery projects.
