Fuel System Maintenance

What is fuel system failure?

If your vehicle finds the following problems during use:

Fuel supply pressure fault: The fuel pump motor is aging (replace the fuel pump). Due to the aging of the internal drive coil, the rotation is weak. In this case, the fuel pump motor can only be replaced to solve the fault.

The filter at the bottom of the fuel pump is clogged: There is a coarse filter at the bottom of the fuel pump, which is a device for filtering fuel. If the blockage is serious, it will cause poor fuel intake and generally low pressure. Cleaning the fuel filter can solve the problem.

The oil return valve inside the fuel pump is damaged: there is an oil return valve inside the fuel pump to prevent the pipeline pressure from being too high and damaging the oil pipe. If the fuel supply pressure is low, the adjustment can only be solved by replacing the fuel pump assembly.

The needle valve is seized, the solution: heat the needle valve assembly in waste engine oil until it boils and smokes, then take it out, use a soft cloth to clamp the tail of the needle valve and move slowly, pull it out, and dip it Apply clean engine oil, and let the needle valve move and grind repeatedly in the valve body until the needle valve can slowly withdraw from the valve body when the needle valve coupler is turned upside down. If the fuel injector test fails, the needle valve assembly should be replaced.

End surface wear of the needle valve body: The end surface of the needle valve body is impacted by the frequent reciprocating motion of the needle valve, and pits will gradually form over time, thereby increasing the lift of the needle valve and affecting the normal operation of the fuel injector.

Diesel engine stop solenoid causes poor cold start, unstable idle speed, rapid noise in the first few seconds after starting the engine, engine instability, smoke accompanied by engine noise, lack of power when the engine is cold. Mainly caused by oil pollution.

We recommend having your vehicle inspected before anything serious breaks down.

Is a fuel system cleaning necessary?

In order to avoid increased fuel consumption and normal start-up of the engine, the car must be maintained the fuel system. Fuel system maintenance includes:

  1. Regularly add high-quality fuel system cleaner. It can effectively remove the colloid, carbon deposits, and deposits in the combustion chamber, intake and exhaust valves, fuel injectors, and fuel pipelines during vehicle running, and keep all parts of the fuel system clean.
  2. Regular use of high-quality fuel injector system cleaners can remove carbon deposits on fuel injectors and eliminate engine vibration, hysteresis, poor atomization, and poor acceleration. Make the oil-air mixing ratio more accurate.
  3. Regularly use a high-quality throttle valve or air intake system cleaning agent to clean the throttle valve system. The solvent breaks down and dissolves the carbon deposits, while the detergent forces these deposits to separate and leave the fuel system. A good injector cleaner can help improve fuel consumption, and vehicle performance and reduce maintenance costs by keeping your engine clean.
